Welcome to Maison Oie. These Terms of Service explain the terms on which you may use our website and purchase products from us.

Throughout these Terms, “Maison Oie”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Maison Oie. Our online store is powered by Shopify.

By using our website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms together with our Privacy Policy, Refund Policy and Shipping Policy.

1. OUR ONLINE STORE

Maison Oie is an online retailer offering a curated selection of home, beauty and lifestyle products.

Some products sold through Maison Oie may be stored, packed and dispatched directly by carefully selected third-party fulfilment partners or suppliers. Regardless of who fulfils an order, your purchase is made from Maison Oie, and we remain your point of contact regarding your order and your statutory consumer rights.

You must provide accurate and complete information when placing an order, including your email address, billing information and delivery address.

2. PRODUCTS

We make reasonable efforts to ensure product descriptions, photographs, specifications and prices are accurate.

Colours and appearance may vary slightly depending on your screen or device.

Product availability may change without notice. We reserve the right to discontinue products or limit quantities where reasonably necessary.

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights regarding goods that are faulty, not as described or otherwise fail to meet the requirements of UK consumer law.

3. ORDERS

When you place an order, you are offering to purchase the products in your basket.

Receiving an order confirmation does not necessarily mean that we have accepted your order. We may refuse or cancel an order where, for example, a product is unavailable, there has been an obvious pricing or description error, payment cannot be authorised, or we reasonably suspect fraudulent activity.

If we cancel an order after payment has been taken, we will refund the relevant amount.

Please check your order and delivery information carefully before completing your purchase.

4. PRICES AND PAYMENT

Prices are displayed in British pounds (GBP) unless otherwise stated.

Any applicable delivery charges will be displayed during checkout before you complete your purchase.

We reserve the right to change prices at any time, but changes will not normally affect orders that we have already accepted.

Payment must be successfully authorised before an order can be processed.

5. SHIPPING AND DELIVERY

Orders may be fulfilled directly by our fulfilment partners. If an order contains products from different fulfilment locations, the products may arrive in separate parcels.

Delivery estimates and applicable shipping charges are shown during checkout where available.

Delivery dates are estimates unless we expressly agree otherwise.

Risk in the goods remains with us until the goods come into the physical possession of you, or a person identified by you to receive them, in accordance with applicable UK consumer law.

6. CANCELLATIONS, RETURNS AND REFUNDS

Our voluntary return period is 30 days after receiving your item, subject to the conditions stated in our Refund Policy.

UK consumers also generally have a statutory right to cancel eligible online purchases within 14 days after receiving the goods. Certain products may be excluded from this cancellation right, including some personalised, perishable or sealed hygiene products once opened.

These statutory rights are separate from and are not restricted by our voluntary 30-day returns policy.

Please contact hello@maisonoie.com before returning a product. Do not send products to a supplier, fulfilment location or other address unless we have provided you with return instructions.

7. DAMAGED, FAULTY OR INCORRECT GOODS

Please contact us as soon as possible if your order arrives damaged, faulty or incorrect.

We may request photographs or other reasonable information to help investigate the problem.

Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights under applicable UK consumer law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

8. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Unless otherwise stated, the Maison Oie name, branding, website design and original content created by Maison Oie are owned by or licensed to Maison Oie.

Product names, trademarks, photographs and other materials belonging to our suppliers, Shopify or other third parties remain the property of their respective owners.

You may use our website for personal, non-commercial purposes. You must not reproduce, distribute or commercially exploit our original content without permission.

9. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

Our website may use services provided by third parties, including payment providers, delivery companies, fulfilment partners and other technology providers.

Our store is powered by Shopify. Shopify provides the ecommerce technology that enables us to operate our online store, but purchases made through Maison Oie are made directly between you and Maison Oie.

Our website may also contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content or practices of websites that we do not operate.

10. PRIVACY

We process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data-protection law.

Shopify and other service providers may process certain information where necessary to operate our store, process payments, fulfil orders and provide related services.

11. WEBSITE USE

You must not use our website:

• for unlawful or fraudulent purposes;
• to infringe another person's intellectual-property rights;
• to transmit viruses, malware or harmful code;
• to attempt to interfere with the security or operation of the website; or

We may restrict access to our website where reasonably necessary to protect Maison Oie, our customers or our service providers.

12. LIABILITY

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or your statutory consumer rights.

If you are purchasing as a consumer, we are responsible for losses that are a foreseeable result of our breach of these Terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill.

We are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable or for business losses arising from a purchase made wholly for personal purposes.

13. EVENTS OUTSIDE OUR CONTROL

We are not responsible for delays or failure to perform our obligations caused by circumstances genuinely outside our reasonable control.

If such circumstances materially affect your order, we will take reasonable steps to minimise disruption and will contact you where appropriate.

Your statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.

We may update these Terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes to our services, business practices or applicable law.

The Terms applying to your purchase will generally be those in effect when your order was placed.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you may also have rights under the mandatory laws applicable where you live.

Nothing in these Terms removes any rights you have under applicable consumer law.
